I travel to Fort Worth and Kansas City on fairly often, so decent BBQ is a must as I have been a bit spoiled. If you happen to find yourself in the Mission Valley area of San Diego and are in the mood for some good BBQ, look no further than Wood Ranch. Had the opportunity to try this location with a number of my team members. The Chicken, Ribs (both Baby Back and Beef), Smoked Brisket and sides (Roasted Broccoli, Asparagus, and Corn on the Cob) were all on point. The GM Amanda runs a clean operation and is not afraid to hustle with the team. Our server/bar tender was Brooke, and she is an absolute delight. Work ethic and hustle are just a couple of her inherent qualities, she is fast, congenial, and attentive. THE BEST!! No disappointments here.

San Diego is not a BBQ town ...however if you want "BBQ Like" food, this place located in mission valley is not bad ..larger restaurant not to crowded when we went ..Lunch menu went with The Ultimate which was three diff meats ..sausage ..pulled pork and brisket ..the Sandwhich itself is large ...comes with a side and more than enough ..the meat did have a smoke taste ..good amount of meat piled on ..overall decent will come back prices for what you get are very generous ..

I wanted some bbq so I yelped this place beforehand and looked at the pictures which seemed appealing to me. The place is in a plaza next to the double tree hotel. There was available parking which was nice. I ordered an unsweetened passion iced tea and it was good. I also ordered a 2 meat combo plate, but I was disappointed there wasn't a 3 meat combo like the menu pics had on yelp. Maybe because it was too long ago and the menu had changed. I had the beef ribs, tri tip, mashed potatoes, and Mac. I was very disappointed in the Mac and cheese because it tasted starchy. The mashed potatoes were okay a little on the dry side. I added au jus to it so it tasted much better. The tri tip was very delicious which I recommend and the beef ribs were good as well. The soup was also pretty good with flavor. The garlic bread is really delicious. The artichoke dip was creamy and different from what I usually have. The sides were the biggest downfall for me. If you crave bbq and never been here I still think you should give this place a chance. The waiters were friendly and attentive too.

Such a nice local steakhouse type restaurant. It felt like a step above the chain options. Their garlic rolls were delicious! We sat outside and it was very picturesque, lights strung giving a warm glow and heaters if needed. The bar looked nice definitely an eye catching piece of the interior. For a Saturday night there was a good amount of customers and our food still came out in good time. The food was good. My husband had the Ethan's sandwich, good nice portions but the Coleslaw was really lacking flavor. I had the ultimate sandwich and wow it was delicious! Unfortunately my jalapeño was more like a bell pepper in flavor. My biggest complaint was the side of beans, wow they were some of the worst I have ever had. Tasted like charred beans dumped in Heinz ketchup.

What a great restaurant tucked in the Northwest corner of Hazard Center! The service people are most cooperative and amenable to our specific preferences. [Special kudos to "Kiley", "Weston", and the manager, "Linda"] The food is excellent, and we love Tri-tip and homemade garlic rolls! Always easy parking and the ambiance both inside and outside make it a very special place to go. We will be making this our new 'go-to' for a night (or day) out on the town.

I am not sure why I did not check out the menu/reviews before visiting. This restaurant was located right next to the hotel we were staying at. Hubs and I love a certain West Coast burger chain so we basically focused on where those were located. My husband's coworker suggested this place so on we went. The first time we visited, I was not hungry, so I ordered a salad. The guys both ordered entrees and an appetizer. I ordered a glass of Riesling, even though it was not a unique brand. I like to try drinks I have not previously tried when I dine out. Everything was good. We dined inside our first visit and sat at a table. The second time we visited was our last day there and it was for lunch. We were all starving. Hub's coworker had a later flight and we were driving like 8 hours to our next location so we all ordered full plates. I ordered the salmon with mac & cheese. Hubs ordered the pulled pork sliders with Mac & cheese. OMFG everything was amazeballs!!! It was the best Mac & Cheese I ever had at a sit down restaurant!! The salmon was cooked perfectly! I also ordered the Berry Smash cocktail and it was so refreshing! This time we sat outside and it was perfect!
